Roy Keane was understandably highly critical of the first-half performance form Man United, which sees them 4-0 down against Man City at the Etihad Stadium.

While City were sensational at times - in particular the link up play between Erling Haaland, who scored two, Phil Foden who also scored twice, and Kevin de Bruyne - Man United were incredibly sloppy in possession and, as Roy Keane argued, were not up for the occasion.

"Man United, Oh my god, it's like the game's too big for them," said Roy Keane at half-time in the Sky Sports studio. "The occasion's almost got to Man United players. I almost can't believe what I'm watching.

"Maybe a lack of belief. Ok, we gave them some plaudits before the match and there was question marks about the players Man City are missing. But the quality Man City have shown, it's been easy for them."

"And as poor as United have been defensively," continued Keane. "Their passing's been sloppy, there's gaps everywhere, the two lads in midfield McTominay and Eriksen are getting pulled everywhere, decision making.

And it could get a lot worse, huge job for the manager at half-time. Do you just sit in and take your medicine or do you have a go because you're Man United, you're a huge club, you can't be too embarrassed.

"I can't believe how bad Man United have been. I know the signs have been a little bit better the last four games, and you're thinking today 'counter-attack'. But it's not about counter-attack now, it's about pride, personality, they're not showing it."
