It's Royal Rumble weekend!
For many long-time wrestling fans, it has been a struggle to keep up with WWE programming over the past couple of years. Even with some great new talent, strong in-ring action and regular returns from legends of the past, the overall product has been going through a creative slump which has seen lots of fans tune out.
Despite these struggles, the annual Royal Rumble is a banker to lure some of those fans back to catch a glimpse of the most exciting event in the WWE calendar. The last Royal Rumble in 2020 had arguably the best ever men's Rumble match which included the return of Edge after a 9 year absence, a brilliant showing from Brock Lesnar and a big win for Drew McIntyre. Here's hoping that Sunday's event can live up to the hype and spark some excitement as WrestleMania season kicks off.
How well do you remember Royal Rumbles of the past? There have been 33 men's Rumble matches since 1988, with a few multi-time winners in there. If you can name all of them in six minutes then you certainly know your 'Bushwhacker Luke' from your 'Bushwhacker Butch', so fair play.
