It's been described as one of the worst tip tackles of the season. It was so bad, and so obvious that the referee in charge was able to make the correct decision instantly and send the perpetrator off immediately without any reference to the TMO.

La Rochelle's Levani Botia was the guilty party here as he lifted, twisted and drove Bordeaux-Begles Pierre Bernard into the ground head first. If Bernard didn't have the presence of mind to stick his hand out to guide his fall then it could have been a very serious injury.
It nearly cost La Rochelle the game, as in the five minutes that was remaining in the game, they conceded a converted try to only win by a point 22-21.
