Previously unbeaten Hurricanes suffered their first loss of the season to Super Rugby defending champions the Waratahs.
In their ninth game of the season, the Hurricanes nearly got off to a perfect start with young phenom Ardie Savea bursting through the defensive line. There was no defenders in sight to stop him, but he managed to do this:

While the Hurricanes went on to lose 24-29, given that this was in the first three minutes of the game it's hard to put the blame on the future superstar. It won't be the last time you hear of Ardie Savea - the younger brother of Julian - although it'll probably be for positive things on or off the field rather than for possibly the worst bombed try in the world.
