After losing Rodney Ah You to Ulster and Robbie Henshaw to Leinster - Connacht look set to see more of their best players leave the province after their record-breaking season.

It's already Connacht's best ever season in the Pro12, and they have nine more points then they have ever finished with with five games left. Connacht are the leading try scorers in the league and have been playing wonderful rugby lead by the likes of Bundee Aki, Craig Ronaldson, John Muldoon, and Aly Muldowney.

But now it looks like Muldowney is about to leave the province. The 33-year-old Irish eligible second row has been outstanding this season and reports in the Irish Independent suggest that he will leave Galway in the summer to join Connacht's Challenge Cup quarter-final opponents - Bernard Jackman's Grenoble.

Muldowney has been in fantastic form since joining from Exeter two seasons ago and there have been calls for the 33-year-old to be included in Joe Schmidt's international squad. His departure would represent a big loss to Connacht - leaving Dillane, Andew Browne and Quinn Roux in the locking department with academy prospect Cian Romaine backing up. It would be the second big lock to leave Connacht in two seasons after Mick Kearney's move to Leinster last summer.

Let's hope there aren't any further departures from Connacht this summer.
