At Belfast crown court, Irish rugby players Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding were unanimously acquitted of raping the same woman at Jackson's house in June 2016. In the aftermath, KRW Law issued a statement announcing their intention to pursue Ó Ríordáin for "comments made by him in the immediate aftermath of the jury’s verdict."

Ó Riordáin is a former Labour minister and current Senator. The Labour party member issued a statement this morning and accepted he was 'not privy to all the evidence put before the jury.'
