It has been a largely positive year for Irish rugby, with the senior men's series win in New Zealand being the standout moment.
The U20s completed the Grand Slam earlier in the year as well, while positive advances have been made in the senior women's game largely thanks to the pressure they have put on the IRFU.

The year was capped off with eight nominations in the World Rugby awards, with Josh van der Flier winning the men's Player of the Year and Terry Kennedy winning the men's 7s Player of the Year.
