Bridgend Ravens secured a playoff spot in the Welsh Indigo Group Premiership Cup on Saturday with victory over Swansea on Saturday.

Bridgend won the game 20-13 thanks to a gloriously unconventional try by Edd Howley.

In the 80th minute, with the game level at 13-13, the ball fell to the boot of the Bridgend fullback on the left wing and he half-volleyed the ball forward.

As it bounced back to him, rather than gather the ball with his hands, Howley surprised the Swansea out-half by heading the ball forwards. He crossed the tryline and touched down unopposed for a brilliant game-winning try.
