Watch: Brilliance Of CJ Stander As A Leader Captured By Sky Sports Player Mic

Putting a microphone on players during games has often appeared a little gimmicky. It's also regularly a letdown.

It really showed Stander's influence as a leader on the pitch. At one point he gives a little bit of encouragement to fellow backrow Jack O'Donoghue.

Jack, Jack - that seven, he's got nothing. He doesn't want to tackle you. He only wants to go for the ball.

We also see his insatiable appetite for ball carrying when he asks Ian Keatley 'Do you want me to carry that? Hit me if you want'.
