Hit with 11th hour injuries to Joey Carbery and Chris Farrell, Johann van Graan’s side nevertheless ran out 30-5 winners against the French club.
Not necessarily the kind of performance that Munster will take unqualified pleasure in, there will be plenty to address prior to the return fixture. Sitting atop of Pool 2 at the mid-way point in the group stages, however, Munster will certainly take some solace in one of the game's finer moves.
Leading 16-0 with a little over 13-minutes remaining on the clock, a wonderful Conor Murray offload was met by a rampaging CJ Stander.
Barreling through the remnants of the Castres backs, Stander touched down to add a little gloss to the Munster win.
