CJ Stander was central part of 'What We Did Last Summer', the documentary about the Irish rugby team's tour of South Africa which aired on RTÉ One last night.

Understandably, it was an emotional tour for Stander as he returned to the country of his birth to play for Ireland.

The 26-year-old is an individual fans have taken to warmly. It's clear that he loves playing for Ireland.

In last night's documentary, Stander stated that Ireland and more specifically Limerick is now his home.

Home is where the heart is. For me, that's Limerick. Everything that I own or I have, that I love is there.

Vodafone, who commissioned the film, have released some extra footage from the documentary. It features Stander and his parents explaining how the move to Munster came about.

We also get an insight from defence coach Andy Farrell and team manager Mick Keanrney about what the backrow is like to work with.
