Last time out Connacht were demolished 56-8 away against Edinburgh in what was a surprisingly poor performance from Connacht. With some key players like Mack Hansen and Bundee Aki away with the Ireland team though it's understandable that Connacht weren't at their strongest that day.

Connacht made a flurry of signings for next season during the Six Nations, including Leinster trio Peter Dooley, Adam Byrne and David Hawkshaw. They will join Connacht in the summer ahead of next season. Jack Carty will captain the side in Galway as Andy Friend makes seven changes from their 56-8 loss away to Edinburgh last time out.

Leinster too were defeated in their last URC game as they lost away in Belfast against Ulster. They were missing the bulk of their squad but nonetheless put in a good performance and nearly won on the day. Leinster still sit on top of the table ahead of Ulster thanks to their superior bonus points. They too announced a signing ahead of next season as they've picked up Springbok forward Jason Jenkins from Munster.

Ciaran Frawley returns to the starting lineup at inside centre after recovering from a facial injury while youngster Chris Cosgrave is in line to make his senior debut from the bench. The former St Michael's student has been touted to be a star for a while so it'll be interesting to see how he gets on.
