One would imagine that Racing Metro will struggle when Johnny Sexton returns to Leinster but it seems they may be about to replace him with one of the few out-halves in the world who could be considered an upgrade.

Rumours are circulating that New Zealand's no.10 Dan Carter will join after next year's World Cup. The move is expected to be announced next week, with Racing already confirming that Remi Tales will join at the end of this season.

A few months ago, Racing owner Jacky Lorenzetti said 'If the coaches agree, Dan Carter may be an opportunity to strengthen the club next season.' Carter would be 33 by the time he'd arrive but he still should have a fair bit in the tank.
