The rugby community has been united by the death of Anthony Foley.

A minute's silence for the Munster legend will be respected ahead of all games in this weekend's Champions Cup. Llanelli Scarlets's jerseys will by emblazoned with the number eight on the front, the position Foley played for Munster and Ireland.

In Cork on Thursday night, two rival teams came together to remember the great man.

Former teammate of Foley's, David Corkery, led both Sundays Well and Dolphin players in a moment of recognition. He also gave a speech which reflected the shock still being felt by everyone who had a connection with Anthony Foley.

Myself and Denis would have played with Ant for a good few years. I knew him since he was 16,17. We would have come up through the ranks.

It's fairly raw. It just goes to show that life is so fucking fickle.

The one thing it has done is it's united the rugby world. Dolphin and the Well, you could say have been so-called enemies or friendly foes for the last 100 years. I thought it would be nice that we pay our respects together in a fairly tough time.

Here's Corkery's speech.
