On their day off last week, members of the Irish Rugby World Cup squad headed to Alton Towers.

There's photographic evidence here.

Devin Toner was one of those to head along, though his day off may have been better spent elsewhere.

Toner's fellow second row Donncha Ryan told RTÉ Sport that due to the Leinster man's height - he's 6' 11" - he was unable to actually get on many of the rides.

I won't lie, I didn't really want to go to Alton Towers but I was roped into it, purely on the basis that I struggle to fit into any of the rides.

So it was more of a torture thing for me than anything else. Poor Devin Toner actually couldn't go on hardly any of them.

But it was a good fun day out; there were some groggy heads that evening but it was good fun.

Toner will probably have to spend his days off attempting to kept Sean O'Brien laid, like some of his other teammates.
