Four Leinster players and one Munster player have been nominated for European Player of the year.

Summer signing Scott Fardy along with Tadhg Furlong, Johnny Sexton and Isa Nacewa have been nominated for Leinster - who have more players than any other team on the list - along with Conor Murray from Munster.

Recommended

Kildare man Tadhg Beirne, who will join Munster from Scarlets next season, is also among the 15 nominees.

Last year, the trophy was named in honour of former Munster head coach Anthony Foley with Owen Farrell being the winner.
