While the League of Ireland pioneered the practice of in-game interviews with managers, an ingenious invention which gave us that Stephen Kenny's furious verdict on the refereeing capabilities of Anthony Buttimer, Fox Sports Australia has given us the in-game interview with a competing player.

Andrew Kellaway seized on a misplaced pass, booted it forward and dived on it after it had skittered over the line. As he walked away, panting and smiling after his five-pointer, he was accosted by a man in a suit brandishing a microphone. He didn't give us too many stunning insights but then it was difficult under the circumstances.
