Referees are often the locus of blame for rugby fans after an agonising defeat and it's no different after France's middling loss against Ireland. France started very brightly against Ireland tonight but only managed 9 points in 80 minutes and were particularly dire in attack in the second half.
Regardless, French fans on Twitter have been riled up about Nigel Owens on Twitter tonight, claiming he was one-sided in reffing the game.

Owens is certainly familiar with the Irish players and has refereed many of the famous Ireland wins over the years but that could all be a coincidence.
