This fantastically shit passage of play comes form a US club rugby game between Kansas City Blues and, I shit you not, Palmer Chiropractic College. One wonders if Brian ‘The Chiropractor‘ Lima is honorary club president. He certainly should be.
Anyway, Palmer benefited from the comical scramble and eventually managed to dot down.
We are well aware that rugby clubs in the USA can have drinking cultures every bit as notorious as those on this side of the Atlantic, but we didn’t think they got going before kickoff.
Apart from the lifting in the lineout, if the above GIF was in black and white there’d be very little to suggest that the game didn’t take place before World War II, when the ball seemed to bobble around on the deck for much of the game.
