After Racing 92's heavy defeat to Munster on Saturday, Ronan O'Gara cut a dismayed figure in a post-match interview with Sky Sports.

ROG said the 'scary' thought was: Racing still face a game against Munster at Thomond Park on January 21st and going on Saturday's performance, it could be an embarrassment for the Top 14 champions in a fortnight's time.

Also dismayed at Racing's level of performance, as they allowed Munster a bonus point win, was Glasgow head coach Gregor Townsend.

Glasgow are Munster's main rivals to top Pool 1 of the Champions Cup. The Scottish side are currently three points behind Munster - three bonus point wins for Rassie Erasmus' team being the divide.

Glasgow played Cardiff in the Pro 12 on Saturday evening. Ahead of the game, Townsend and his staff watched Munster play Racing. 40 minutes would suffice. Townsend told BBC Scotland that he and his staff switched off at half-time with Munster ahead 25-0, the bonus point just a try away.

We watched it, the coaches, and switched it off after half-time when the result was a foregone conclusion.

Munster played really well. Racing were out of the tournament. They chose to mix up their team and there was only one team that dominated the game.

The tournament is what it is. You have to play the opposition you're up against. We played Racing at the beginning and that's just the way it is. We played really well to win both those games.

Munster travel to Scotstoun next weekend for the game which should decide who progresses from the pool.
