How To Watch Leinster v Dragons?

The match will be broadcasted on RTE 2 with coverage starting at 7pm ahead of kickoff scheduled for 7.35pm

Form Guide

Leinster are sitting in the first place in the URC. They have won every single game this season including European games. Their last defeat goes back to last season's Heineken Champions Cup final against Ronan O'Gara's La Rochelle side.

Their last game ended in a comfortable 38-14 win over the Cardiff Blues with a remastered team. Due to the Six Nations, their main players left the Leinster squad to join the Irish training camp. Twenty players such as Johnny Sexton, Josh Van der Flier, Caelan Doris and many other big names will not be back with Leo Cullen's team until the 2023 Six Nations is over. They will enter this match just like they did against the Blues, with massive confidence despite a weajer team than usual.

On the other hand the Dragons sit in the fifteenth place with very little chance to qualify for the playoffs. Their last league victory goes back to the end of October with a 47-7 win over sixteenth and last place team Zebre. With only two victories in all competitions this season they'll come to Dublin with not much confidence as they face the best team of the league.

Team News

Jimmy O'Brien, Jamie Osborne and Jordan Larmour were released by the Irish squad to be named in the Leinster team for this game against Newport Dragons. Rhys Ruddock will lead the team as captain due to the absence of Johnny Sexton and Garry Ringrose.

Angus O'Brien and Ross Moriarty are back from injury and will start tonight for Dan Flanagan's side. Newport have called back Wales under 20's captain Ryan Woodman as he will be on the bench against Leinster. Rhodri Williams will be the captain for this evening's fixture in Dublin.
