Form Guide

Both sides experienced very different fortunes in the Champions Cup last weekend. Ulster went into their second leg with a six point lead following a famous victory over Toulouse. However, a Tom O’Toole red card with 15 minutes remaining turned the tie on it’s head, with Antoine Dupont scoring the winning try with fie minutes remaining, to give the reigning champions a one point victory on aggregate.

For Munster, they turned around a five -point first leg deficit to defeat Exeter 26-10 in Thomond, and 34-23 on aggregate. Joey Carbery and Damien De Allende scored the crucial tries, combined with a man of the match performance from Peter O’Mahony.

Ulster will look to keep the pressure on Leinster in second place, with Leo Cullen’s men facing a tricky task in South Africa with a weakened side. Meanwhile Munster will hope to stay in the top four to ensure a home quarter final.
