In a thrilling game at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ireland beat the All Blacks for the first time in 111 years.

After a monumental effort in the first half, one which saw Ireland hold a 25-8 lead after 40 minutes, New Zealand came back hard in the second half.

The All Blacks got to within four points but Joe Schmidt's side resisted what is usually an irresistible force.

Reaction, not just from Ireland, has been one of astonishment.
