Joe Schmidt has named his starting XV for Ireland's second test of the November internationals against Canada.

It is a completely new team from the one which stepped onto Soldier Field to play New Zealand.

There are three new caps in the starting XV - Garry Ringrose, Billy Holland and Jack O'Donoghue. On the bench, there are a further five uncapped players - James Tracy, John Ryan, Dan Leavy, Luke McGrath and Niyi Adeolokun.

The exciting side will be captained by Peter O'Mahony.

Tiernan O’Halloran; Craig Gilroy, Garry Ringrose, Luke Marshall, Keith Earls; Paddy Jackson, Kieran Marmion; Cian Healy, Seán Cronin, Finlay Bealham; Ultan Dillane, Billy Holland; Peter O’Mahony, Seán O’Brien, Jack O'Donoghue .

Replacements:

James Tracy, Dave Kilcoyne, John Ryan, Donnacha Ryan, Dan Leavy, Luke McGrath, Joey Carbery, Niyi Adeolokun.

Schmidt said that Iain Henderson was close to playing but they did not want to risk him as a knock could keep him out for a further two or three weeks and thus the game against the All Blacks on November 19th.

The game kicks off at 7:15pm on Saturday.
