Match Preview

Ireland have been romping through this U20s campaign so far. They smashed Wales and Italy comfortably in Cork and edged out France in a classic in France. Richie Murphy's side have really impressed with some of the back play being simply phenomenal. Out-half Charlie Tector, centre Ben Brownlee, fullback Patrick Campbell along with others have been very impressive as Ireland have scored 15 tries in just three games.

Ireland's record at the U20 level has been outstanding the last 20 years or so and this squad is on the verge of joining some of those great teams like the Grand Slam winners in 2007 and the World Cup finalists in 2016. It's great to see the conveyor belt of great young players coming through.

Only two changes are made as centre Ben Brownlee has been ruled out with injury so Ben Carson comes in to replace him. Lorcan McLoughlin also goes into the starting lineup, starting in the backrow.

England have had a fairly odd campaign so far. They too smashed Wales and they dominated against Scotland on the opening day, looking very dangerous throughout both of those games. However when they travelled out to Italy they really underperformed and somehow lost 6-0 in a cagy, ugly match. However the result wasn't the main talking point. There was huge controversy around the England physio refusing to let a player go off for a HIA despite an independent match doctor requesting that the player take a HIA. It's not the kind of story the RFU want to be associated with.

England make six changes to the starting line up from their win  against Wales last time out.

George Hendy returns at full back, lock Tom Lockett returns as well to the starting lineup and Lewis Chessum starts, having come off the bench against Wales. In the front row, Tim Hoyt named at tight head to make his Six Nations debut and John Stewart comes back as hooker. Ewan Richards also gets a start in the backrow.

This match may be similar to the France game last month and if so, we'll be in for a nail-biter.
