'Ireland's Call' is a song which the majority of Irish sports fans would agree is awful.

Somehow, before Ireland took on New Zealand in Chicago, organisers of the game made it even worse.

A surreal, ultra-Oirish violin rendition of Phil Coulter's number united viewers in disbelief.

It was a version which laid on the diddly-aye in dollops.

Though, given the performance by Joe Schmidt's side in the first half, maybe it's something we should consider being performed before all games in future.
