Irish fans won't look back at the 2015/16 season fondly. It was a season where the provinces and national side struggled, with several key players sidelined through injury for a long time.

But that finally looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel. With Peter O'Mahony returning to Munster training last week, this week Ulster were able to provide a positive update on long term casualties Iain Henderson and Tommy Bowe.

According to the lengthy injury update, both players could be set to return for the northern province by the end of the season. Bowe is making excellent progress, and could will review with the surgeon this week after his posterior cruciate ligament injury; while Henderson is "likely to be involved in Ulster's Guinnness PRO12 run-in.".

Elsewhere in the statement, there was less positive news on the likes of Dan Tuohy, Sam Arnold, Wiehahn Herbst, and Willie Faloon. Arnold suggered a hamstring tear against Cardiff and will be out for a number of weeks, while Tuohy, Faloon, and Herbst do not have a return date set yet.

You can check the updates on 14 players on Ulster's official site.
