ITV's Commentators Were Taken Aback By Irish Fans Singing During NZ v France

I think it's safe to say we've reached peak Fields of Athenry at this stage. It even manages to become to the chorus to a World Cup quarter-final between New Zealand and France.

It would seem there were quite a lot of Irish fans in attendance tonight and they certainly made their voices heard in the second half, with rousing renditions of the aforementioned and of course the ubiquitous Ole Ole chants.

In fact they were so loud that even the cameraman and the ITV commentary team had to give a nod of recognition.

If it's like this tonight we can only imagine what the atmosphere will be tomorrow!
