Mike Ross was speaking at the launch of Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Outer Rim – the first digital expansion pack for Season Pass owners - and he had praise for two of the stars of Ireland's U20 Six Nations campaign, and a Leinster prop in particular.

Ross is a big gamer, as he told us after being outed as a bit of a nerd by Andrew Trible back in 2013, and he is a massive Star Wars fan too, which is understandable considering he was involved with the latest DLC for the hugely popular Star Wars game. As a fan of the game myself, I couldn't help but ask him what his favourite map was, as above all else the environments in Battlefront are absolutely stunning:

The maps are really well done. I quite enjoy Hoth.

I'm a bit of a camper, so I like to lurk around the caverns with a shotgun. There's a lot of choke points and places to drop sentry turrets, so I'll get called a camper there.

And if that made absolutely no sense to you, then perhaps his comments on the best of the Ireland U20s crop will be more to your interests.

Much has been made of the performances of James Ryan and Andrew Porter in the Irish pack, and sure enough, these were the two players than came to mind when Ross named the players who had made an impression on him.

Judging by his comments on Porter, in particular, the Leinster and Ireland scrum is in good hands going forward.

The second-row, James Ryan, has been going really well. He looks like he's definitely one for the future.

Andrew Porter too, I've seen him in the gym and he's massive, a big unit. Stupid haircut but, we can't all be perfect.

When Mike Ross calls someone massive, they are massive, and to be fair he wasn't lying:

Having seen Garry Ringrose make the jump from the Ireland U20 setup to the senior Leinster squad, Andrew Porter will be hoping to follow a similar path in the not-too-distant future.

Mike Ross was speaking at the launch of Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Outer Rim – the first digital expansion pack for Season Pass owners. Season Pass owners will have access to exclusive new weapons like the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol, maps on Sullust and at Jabba’s Palace, a new game mode called Extraction, and two new playable characters: Greedo and Nien Nunb.
