Munster's challenge at Thomond against Glasgow this afternoon just got a lot more difficult, as Keith Earls has seen red for a dangerous tackle on Glasgow hooker Fraser Brown.

The general consensus is that referee Jerome Garces made the correct decision, although Peter O'Mahony argued the Glasgow player helped flip himself in the air.

Jerry Flannery was interviewed on Sky after the incident, and said that "he's [Garces] been consistent with that in the past, we just have to accept it. It's a real test coming up".

There was a brief moment of confusion regarding the colour of the card flashed by Garces. The TV feed showed the card from the referee's point of view, which seemed to show a yellow card.

It has since transpired that both cards were in Garces' hand, and he definitely showed Earls a red.
