It seems not everyone is pleased with Wasps relocation to Coventry. In the second ever instance of a sporting team advertising on another's turf, Leicester Tigers have put up a billboard just outside Wasps new Ricoh Arena stadium.

In a move reminiscent of Manchester City's Welcome To Manchester billboard featuring Carlos Tevez, Leicester have made a pointed reminder to Wasps and the people of Coventry that they have been "On Your Doorstep Since 1880".

Leicester is just 25 miles from Coventry,  and they feel that the Leicester fans that reside in Coventry might be tempted to switch their allegiance to their newly based local team. The Tigers have said that it was a "conscious decision" to choose that location for the billboard.

The club has a lot of supporters in Coventry and we're keen to remind people we're here.

Wasps have responded with a good natured statement saying that they were flattered that Leicester felt the need to spend money marketing on their doorstop.
