Cardiff blues hooker Matthew Rees was sent off in Thursday night's Challenge Cup game against Harlequins for a reckless stamp on Nick Easter.

Six minutes from full time, referee Alexandre Ruiz produced the red card after the Blues player raked his studs down the face of the England international.

Harlequins pretty much had the game wrapped up at the time, as they led 25-12. They would go on to secure a bonus point victory.
