This is a collaboration I'm sure not many people saw coming! Golden State Warriors guard and NBA legend Steph Curry has been in Dublin for the last couple of days and has been spotted in various different locations around the city, meeting up with the Men's Irish Rugby Captain Johnny Sexton whilst also making a visit to Dublin's famous Guinness Storehouse.

Training Session at Irish Rugby HQ

Carl Bergstrom, who works essentially as director of performance for Steph Curry, posted a video to his instagram account yesterday of Steph Curry performing some training drills in the IRFU High Performance Centre in Blanchardstown. In the video, we see the four time NBA Champion incorporating a rugby ball into his training. In another instagram post, we see facilities such as the IRFU High Performance gym in use as well as the indoor pitch. Bergstrom gave a shoutout to Head of Athletic Performance for Irish Rugby, Nick Winkelman, to thank him for facilitating this event.

Jersey Swap

In a photo posted on Johnny Sexton's instagram, we see the Ireland skipper standing alongside the two-time MVP swapping jerseys with each other. Sexton captioned the post:

What a way to start a Monday morning...

Sexton described Curry as:

one of the most humble people I have ever met

The two legends of their respective sports posed for pictures with their performance trainers, with Sexton posting a picture of his newly signed Golden State Warriors jersey.

Steph Curry around Dublin

On Curry's own instagram he has posted pictures of himself and his wife Ayesha Curry at Dublin's famous Guinness Storehouse. In the post he shared images of he and his wife behind a Guinness Tap in the 'pour your own pint' section. Similarly, he shared a picture of their  faces scanned onto the head of  their pint, one of the most exciting experiences of the storehouse.

Curry was also pictured in The Corner Note Cafe, posing for a picture with the owner.

We don't expect the 34 year old NBA star to stay in Ireland for very long, his trainer commenting yesterday:

Until Next Time. Slainte!

It certainly has been a surprise to see him in Dublin, but we hope to see him again soon.
