Ulster led by four with just less than ten minutes remaining against Exeter at Ravenhill. It then became a battle of the drop kicking out-halves.

Gareth Steenson, from Dungannon, knocked over two in the space of a few minutes to take Exeter from being behind by four to ahead by two.

Paddy Jackson was not to be outdone. With a little over two minutes left on the clock, Jackson added three points to the Ulster total, taking them back into the lead.

The drama would not end there. From the restart, Exeter and Steenson again found themselves within drop goal range. This time, however, his sweet strike would go just barely wide of the right-hand post.
