Leinster had an easy 31-7 win against Edinburgh at the RDS on Saturday night. Leo Cullen's side scored five tries to the visitor's one.

Edinburgh also had a player sent off with just under 10 minutes of play remaining. Prop Pierre Schoeman was shown red after hitting Leinster back row Dan Leavy with an elbow.

The South African led with his elbow as he carried the ball into contact with Leavy. Referee Daniel Jones felt he had no choice but to send off Schoeman.

There was no protest from the 24-year regarding the referee's decision. Neither was there from Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill who said it was card was disappointing for the team but, "the dynamics of the game and the way the game is, you've got to protect players."
