Leinster have been crowned Guinness Pro 14 champions for the 19/20 season after a convincing win over Ulster at the Aviva Stadium.

Heading into the game as defending champions, Leinster would ultimately run out winners on a scoreline of 27-5, securing their third championship on the trot in the process.

Ulster actually started the brighter of the two sides in this game, with James Hume producing a moment of magic to run in the opening try. Look at this for power and pace:

However, their lead wouldn't last all that long.

James Lowe crossed for Leinster's opening try less than ten minutes later when his side went through the phases after a well-worked set-piece.

Leinster would extend that lead in the 26th minute, with Ross Byrne kicking a penalty to change the scoreline to 10-5. That would be the score at halftime.

The defending champions came bursting out of the traps after the interval, with a Ross Byrne penalty quickly followed by a beautiful intercept try from Robbie Henshaw.

That essentially killed the game as a contest, even if Ulster did continue to push to get back into the match.

The result was put beyond any doubt when Caelan Doris ran in Leinster's third try in the 72nd minute.

Leinster's attentions will now turn to the Champions Cup, where they will face Saracens in a quarter-final a week from today. Considering the form they have shown in recent games, and the absence of Owen Farrell in opposition, they will probably enter that game as favourites.

Ulster will also have to pick themselves up for a European quarter-final, with a trip to Toulouse in the offing next week.
