Reports have emerged today from the Daily Mail that plans are in place for a behind the scenes Netflix series of the Six Nations.

In a much needed boost for the sport, the Six Nations is set for a familiar set up to the popular Formula One series Drive To Survive.

The Drive To Survive series had a huge impact on Formula one, with the sport growing hugely in popularity in 2022. It has also been reported that Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff and George Russell have been involved in meetings with coaches, players, and Netflix executives on how to grow the series.

In a year that has seen two famous English clubs in London Wasps and Worcester suspended from the Premiership due to both clubs entering administration,  this move could be vital for the future of rugby.

Netflix and Amazon Prime has produced some great documentaries in recent years. Between the Sunderland 'Till I Die', All or Nothing series sowing Arsenal and Spurs, it has brought new fans to the action.

Six Nations Drama

The Six Nations is arguably the biggest competition in international rugby outside of the World Cup. In 2023, viewers could be in for a treat, with several questions going into the tournament.

Last year's Grand-Slam winners France will be hoping for a strong Six Nations defence ahead of the World Cup they are hosting. Ireland meanwhile, have been going from strength to strength under Andy Farrell, and will be hugely confident of winning their first title in five years.

For England, the drama could be endless following the dismissal of Eddie Jones at the end of a disastrous 2022. The return of Warren Gatland to Wales should also provide drama as they aim for to comeback from another difficult year.

Scotland, opponents in Ireland's World Cup group, will want a strong Six Nations, while Italy will aim to provide new viewers with the surprise element.
