Ronan O’Gara’s ongoing feud with Bordeaux’s head coach Christophe Urios continued following their altercation in yesterday’s Top 14 clash between La Rochelle and Bordeaux.

We reported yesterday on the touchline incident which saw O’Gara get into a heated argument with Urios.

In his post-match interview Urios did not pull any punches as he verbally rinsed O’Gara’s style and character. He referred to O’Gara as ‘la fout la merde’ which roughly translates to ‘he’s fucking shit’,  while also calling him ‘unbearable’.

Speaking to French media after the game, Urios was less than complimentary about his Irish counterpart. You can see the rough translation of his comments below.

He chambered, as he does every time. This guy is unbearable...

How can he enter the field? Talk to guys? He is lucky. Really. He goes to the stands, he curses up in the stands. He 'fucks' and 'shits' on the edge of the field. This guy is unbearable.

Strong words.

O’Gara tried to play the incident down, while simultaneously placing the blame for the incident on Urios.

It's nothing important. He did not appreciate that I encouraged my players after a ball recovered near our line. I am a young coach, I need to talk a lot and I want my players to hear me on the pitch. I have a lot of energy and it's important that I pass it on to them.

His reaction proves the tension there was in this match, but we have to move on.

Urios also has a history of similar incidents. Below is a clip of him pushing and slapping the current France head coach Fabien Galthie when he was coach of Toulon.

As fate would have it, the sporting gods have done their bit once more, as La Rochelle have drawn Bordeaux in the Champions Cup and will play each other twice over the next two weekends.

Once suspects that this won’t be the final chapter in O’Gara’s and Urios' ongoing spat.
