Ireland have never beaten the All Blacks, and that didn't change this morning as they were humbled 66-28 in New Plymouth this morning. Jamie Heaslip was sent off by Wayne Barnes in the fifteenth minute for kneeing All Black captain Richie McCaw in the head. Ronan O' Gara was sinbinned ten minutes later, and not surprisingly New Zealand went in 38-7 up at halftime, the Irish try coming from Ulster lock Dan Tuohy, on as a replacement.

Ireland managed to staunch the bleeding after half time and O' Driscoll, Bowe and Darcy all got on the scoresheet. The All Blacks ran in nine tries in all, for a new record score against Ireland. With the NZ Maori and Australia still to come on the tour it will by a trying couple of weeks for a patchwork Irish side.
