One of the sour moments of the Irish victory over France  (aside from the injuries) was the flashpoint between Sean O'Brien and Pascal Pape.

Asked about it in the post-match press conference, Schmidt says that he thinks that O'Brien should be available for next week's quarter-final against Argentina:

I certainly hope not. I think he's being held and he swung. It's not a closed fist, but it's not a decision for me. I'd be hopeful.

It's a very different approach to commenting on incidences than the likes of Arsene Wenger, but it's hard to agree with Schmidt once you see the incident.
