Fardy currently plays for Australian Super Rugby side Brumbies. He told the paper that he's excited to join Leo Cullen's team.

It's still a big year ahead at the Brumbies and I'm looking forward to the season ahead in Canberra.

I'm also excited about the chance to join Leinster next season. But I've got a lot that I want to achieve at the Brumbies and it should be a great year with the boys.

Fardy, who can play both in the back row and second row, has 39 caps for Australia. He has been a late bloomer in rugby, only making his international debut in 2013. He went on to become a key part of the Wallabies side which progressed to the 2015 World Cup final, playing at blindside flanker.

According to further reports in Australia, Fardy was also being courted by Sale but found the opportunity to join Leinster too tempting.
