After much anticipation, Seán O'Brien has finally made his AIL debut for Naas, in their 25-22 loss to Old Belvedere at Ollie Campbell Park.

Naas had been leading up until the final few minutes of the match before Belvedere but a damper on the debut of the two-time Lions tourist's, with a try near the death.

There was much talk about O'Brien's move to the AIL, given that he had been denied the chance to play for his local club Tullow, due to it being a junior club and Seán O'Brien only retiring from pro-rugby last season.

Despite winning 56 caps for Ireland and 126 for Leinster, O'Brien was named on the bench, and was introduced after 49 minutes.

The result leaves Naas bottom of AIL Division 1B, with zero wins from three, while Old Belvedere move up to third.
