After a brief illness, John Geary passed away at Cork University Hospital. Zebo travelled back to Ireland this morning and will link up again with Joe Schmidt's side on Tuesday.

An IRFU spokesperson told Indepdendent.ie:

Simon has been granted compassionate leave by the tournament and returned to Ireland this morning. He is due back with the squad tomorrow I believe.

The Munster player starred at fullback in Ireland's win against Romania on Sunday.
