Johann van Graan took charge of Munster for the first time on Sunday afternoon, taking on Zebre at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.

Two first half tries from Rory Scannell and James Hart gave Munster a healthy 17-0 advantage before the home side worked their way back into the game with two tries in five minutes. That came during a period where Munster were down to 13 players after both Robin Copeland and Sammy Arnold were sin-binned.

The bonus-point was secured for Munster 15 minutes into the second half, through two tries from winger Alex Wooton.

The second of those tries came via a sublime pass from Simon Zeob. The Top 14-bound back sent a sumptuous looping pass to Wootton who was in acres of space on the wing.

Young Calvin Nash would enter the game off the bench to score Munster's fifth and final try of the game, rounding off a 36-19 win.
