The 12 nominees for the 2017 Six Nations Player of the Championship have been named.

The list includes two Irish players - Conor Murray and CJ Stander.

Stander was an ever-present for Ireland during the tournament. Murray missed Ireland's final game against England due to a shoulder injury sustained against Wales.

The 12-man list was decided by former Italy coach Nick Mallet.

Along with the two Irish players, it features one Italian, two each from France, Scotland and Wales and three from champions England.
