Following their disappointing defeat to Wales, progression to the knock out stage is close to impossible for Stuart Lancaster's side if they fail to beat Australia in the next round. And it seems one fan in particular is desperate to see England play in what could be their last Rugby World Cup appearance this year.

According to the ticket re-sale website Viagogo, someone coughed up an incredible £8,000 for two World Cup tickets for the crunch clash between England and the Wallabies on Saturday. This is the highest purchase that Viagogo has received for a non-final ticket in any event including Wimbledon, the French Open and last year's Fifa World Cup.

The television audience is expected to be high for this crucial pool game, but this supporter is clearly determined to be among the 82,000 fans at Twickenham. The previous record was £2,800 for a ticket to watch Andy Murray's Wimbledon semi-final in 2013.
