Hell hath no fury like a Stephen Jones scorned.

As we explored yesterday, just the five Irish players made UK rugby columnist Stephen Jones' hypothetical Lions squad for 2017, with Jonny Sexton amongst the notable absentees.

Needless to say, the Irish rugby community - seemingly in a perpetual state of verbal war with the mildly controversial Jones -  were not overly thrilled by his selection, but in all likelihood couldn't let him know due to his trigger-happy relationship with the Twitter block button. Indeed, it's a wonder Jones has any followers at all. You can take that any which way you so wish.

Enter Belfast native and journalist Jonathan Drennan, known for his work with both the Irish Times and The Guardian. Needless to say Jones didn't take kindly to Drennan's insinuations or, you know, his existence in general.
