Tadhg Beirne will be unavailable for the first two games of the Six Nations.

The Munster forward picked up a knee injury during Munster's win against Exeter in the Champions Cup on Saturday. Beirne will miss the games against England on February 2nd and Scotland on February 9th.

The IRFU announced that Connacht's Quinn Roux has been called up to the Ireland squad as a result.

Adam Byrne will travel to the squad's Portugal training camp after Munster winger Andrew Conway also picked up an injury during at the weekend. Conway will be unable to train this week but will be back training next week.

Jack Conan will also continue treatment for the injury which ruled him out of Leinster's win against Wasps at the weekend. Conan, who was replaced in the Leinster lineup by Sean O'Brien, will be able to train next week.

It's also said that Rob Kearney and Jack McGrath will stay with Leinster to acquire some game time ahead of the Six Nations. Leinster play Scarlets in the Pro14 this weekend.
