The Irish rugby player's association award nominations are out and four players are up for the top award.

Players have been nominated on the basis of performances in the Six Nations as well as last November's autumn series.

Recommended

The nominees are Paul O'Connell, Robbie Henshaw and the half-back pairing of Conor Murray and Jonathan Sexton. Andrew Trimble scooped the award last year following his fantastic performance in the 2014 Six Nations championship.

The Nevin Spence Young Player of the Award is being fought out between Henshaw, Jack Conan and Jack McGrath.

And here are the nominees for try of the year.
