Rob Kearney's gluteus maximus has had the nation fretting over the past few days. However, the all important injury update from the Ireland camp is here and, as pictures from this morning show, the Ireland full back was able to to take part in a gym session with the rest of the squad with his injury being downgraded to 'a mild glute' strain.

That means that, although it's still possible Schmidt will stick with Zebo at 15 against Italy, the Leinster man is set to return to full training tomorrow and should be available for selection on Sunday.

Elsewhere, there's also good news on the status of Ireland's other two injury worries, Keith Earls and Robbie Henshaw. Earls has completed his return to play protocols and is fit for selection while Henshaw will take part in the full training session today ahead of what is likely to be his first World Cup appearance against the Italians.
